NONÒZIO is a Milan-based interior design space created by Barbara Frua De Angeli together with Pictalab. It’s not a shop — it’s a lived-in home, where each room tells a story. You’ll find handcrafted lamps, rugs, mirrors, wallpapers, tables, chairs, frescoed walls, and vintage objects selected one by one. You can come to buy, to browse, or simply to pause for a moment. There’s no rush.

NONÒZIO means “I deny leisure.” A refusal to ever stop being curious, to keep searching for beauty, to express aesthetics.

Barbara Frua De Angeli is a Milan-based interior designer with years of experience in high-end residential projects. Her style is distinctive: warm, refined, never predictable. She works on large homes and small apartments with the same care, blending new and vintage pieces, unexpected colors, and precious materials. Pictalab is a creative studio of highly skilled decorators, painters, and artisans. A founding partner of NONÒZIO together with Barbara, it transforms living spaces through wall decorations, wallpapers, verre églomisé glass work, and ceramics. Their wallpapers range from hand-painted to printed, always custom-made for each project and location. Pictalab preserves Italian artistic heritage while enriching it with contemporary techniques. The selection evolves over time, but you will always find: handcrafted lamps (table, floor, wall, pendant), rugs and woven mats from the Par Terre collection, mirrors, tiles, wallpapers, tables and coffee tables, chairs, sofas and armchairs, vintage objects personally selected by Barbara, and decorative accessories. Some pieces are unique and cannot be replicated.

Yes. You’ll find full-service consultancy to personalize your home — from decorative elements (whether hand-painted on walls, paper, or other surfaces) to combinations of rugs and mirrors. Everything you need to shape your space.

It depends. Lamps and rugs belong to reproducible collections — they can be ordered, sometimes with variations in color or finish. Vintage furniture and many accessories, however, are one-of-a-kind: once they leave, they don’t come back. If something catches your eye, don’t wait too long.

Yes. Pictalab wallpapers at NONÒZIO are unique in both forms: hand-painted ones are inherently unrepeatable due to the artist’s hand, while printed ones are designed and produced specifically for the space they are intended for.
